My professional career began in 1985 in the group life and health insurance industry. In 1994, I earned a degree in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and started a communications consulting business working for clients such as the Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council, Labatt Breweries, MTT/Aliant, and a number of other communication firms.
In recent years, I have taken the opportunity to branch away from the hectic pace of corporate work to pursue some of my own personal career goals, which have included teaching college night courses and submitting articles and photos to local publications. Currently, along with my council duties, I work from home as a writer/copy editor and part time as office administrator for Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home.
Offering my time and skills as a volunteer is a rewarding addition to my life, both personally and professionally. Some of my past volunteer work has been for the Metro Chamber of Commerce Client Services committee, on the Board of the Metro/Youth Help Line Society and as a citizen member of Windsor's Police Advisory Board.
